MREA Governance

Zones

The MREA is governed by twelve elected directors. Each zone elects the following:

  • one administrator
  • one teacher
  • one school board member
  • one at-large member

The Board of Directors appoints the following:

  • a representative of higher education
  • a representative from a statewide agency

Legislative Action Committee

  • nine elected local area representatives
  • appointed at-large positions
